Since its inception in 1924, the Cheltenham Gold Cup has epitomized excellence in National Hunt racing. Over a century, the event has evolved, showcasing the prowess of legendary horses, such as Golden Miller's five consecutive victories in the 1930s and the historic achievements of modern champions like Kauto Star and Best Mate. Jockeys like Pat Taaffe and iconic moments like Dawn Run's 1986 triumph have contributed to the Gold Cup's rich tapestry. The race has become synonymous with drama, fierce competition, and enduring records. As it marks its centenary, the Cheltenham Gold Cup stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of jump racing and continues to captivate fans worldwide.

We are touring the length and breadth of the United Kingdom during our Gc100 countdown taking in many racecourses, events, schools and colleges, hospitality venues, care homes etc. so that we can share the Gold Cup with a wider community.

We have published a book, "Let No Memories Fade" compiled by horse racing historian Chris Pitt which is a book of 100 heroes (horses and humans) of the Gold Cup. It is not a chronological history of the race, more a dip in and out book of outstanding moments from the past 100 years.

We have designed some playing cards that are so popular they have sold out again! Profits from these cards and monies raised from other events are going into the community grant fund we have set up which will enable Cheltenham Racecourse to offer grants to local causes. We are very keen that this special occasion leaves a legacy in the local community and will have launched this community fund to assist with neighbourhood projects. This will be run in conjunction with the Rotary Clubs of Cheltenham.
